Environmental portrait of the street known as Rainbow Blvd. that runs parallel to the state line between Kansas and Missouri. The purpose of this project is to capture a character of Kansas component to the dichotomy of the city which tends to be more sleepy and quiet in nature.
Due to the economic collapse much of structures around the Kansas City area experience wear and tear without any maintenance. Much of these places are in Kansas where there is a clear distinction in the drop of wealth from the Missouri side of the state line. Much of my work delves on the unappreciated results of humanity that are ignored or seen as useless. In a sense I’m facilitating the lost joy of seeing these forgotten or hated objects and places.
